With a turnout like this we really could use another couple instructors. Anyone feel they have what it takes to be a bead specialist. Understanding bobber size, multiple upstream mending, how long to wait when your bobber is pulled underwater, low hole tactics, bead brotherhood, etc. Pipe up if you can volunteer to help out as a professional bead instructor.

Oh Damn this is good! I'll be there with beads on. And Golfman, you know you want it! That's why you brought it up. Hehe.

Beads on the swing is sexy. I call it the "dirty Skok".

Yup, that is me looking at you taking a picture of me...and yes I swung a bunch of runs that day, one tug. I also used a nice nymph rig under a thingamabobber and hooked and landed a crome honey hen about 15 minutes before I saw you guys that day. Nymph on the move and swing any banks and bars that have good water. That worked for me and I had a good time. You need instructors? I fear I'm not qualified, but I'll come out and drink some good dark beer. If dudes are dropping trousers though, I'm out of there. Those big fat white shiny hiney...come on man!

I'd be interested in a tutorial on worm weights as well. And actually, do you guys mind if I just use a spinning rig at the clave?,.. it would be a lot easier for me. So stoked.....

I'll probably bring a gear rod to the Hohdown. I like taking it on the boat for when I'm on the oars... I can flip it out for a quick cast or two on the long runs where I can put the sticks down for just a second.

But I've never actually caught anything on it

edward...this is a very constructive thread and would be put to good use at the hoh down if you got a couple guys to do a demo and talk about it...maybe even a swap etc.? Guys could bring some jigs etc. as well and explain how both are used...set up, water to look for etc.

    Stop hating!!!

    :)

You know if you cast a rod with a slip float slinky and beads and row correctly you can fish and row at the same time..
