Gonna explore the seeps this weekend with my son. Need a good breakfast stop Saturday morning somewhere between Ellensburg and Moses Lake, preferably before Dodson Road. Thanks for any tips you can give.

I agree with both DP and Rick, you can't go wrong with either one. But, I do like the chicken fried streak!

JJs on Main or The Yellow Church are good. If you want diner style The Red Horse is the best.

I hit Sportees in Moses Lake for breakfast even when I don't have a fishing trip in the offing.

+1 on the Palace. They've also got Quilter's Irish Death on tap and make a mean Bloody Mary. Booze - its not just for breakfast any more. The only downside is that you've gotta drive all the way in to downtown E-Burg. Instead of wasting time eating breakfast when I could be fishing, I usually hit McDonalds instead.

Ahhh Good Lord, Kent! Mc Choke & puke! Euuuu!! I gotta check out the other two, though; the chicken fried steak sounds great.

I have to say I usually do the same Kent, saves both time and money. Plus, it's open super early in most places.

Best quick stop breakfast in Eburg is a breakfast sandwich at Jennikas off the west interchange. You'll never bother with McD's again!

I would stake money on the best chicken fried steak between Eburg and Moses Lake as that served at Bob's Cafe in ML. On Sunday's it's their breakfast special. Just sayin.'

#10 Breakfast Meal of Champions! Eaten in the boat to give those great burritos time to cool.

Don't be so picky. Just wash it down with a little bourbon!

Seriously, the last couple times I've stopped for a sit-down breakfast on a fishing trip, after the first 10 minutes I get so antsy thinking about fishing that I wish I'd never stopped. The waitress and the cooks all seem to move in super-slow motion. If I want to linger over some 'gourmet' breakfast, I sure as hell don't do it on a fishing trip, especially a one day-er.

Thought I knew every joint in E-burg but never heard of JJ's.

The Palace, Jennika's, and Yellow Church are good. Surprisingly, I have never cared much for The Bar 14 and I have never tried the CFS at The Palace.

+ how ever many already on The Palace. Bacon-infused vodka bloody mary's? Yes please. Chicken Fried Steak? Yes please. Cleanest bathrooms and friendliest staff in town - seals the deal.

+ 1 on the Yellow Church for breakfast. It's worth finding.
The Palace good for dinner (except for the "canned" vegetables they serve on the side) - next time there I'll try Kent's idea of bourbon to wash down the soggy string beans they give you.
