So, I'm taking a leap in the workshop and want to try turning my own fly grips. Anyone know of a good place I can get Cheap cork rings..... I don't need Flor grade rings to bugger up with test runs on the lathe. I just need a source for cheap rings to play with..... Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Off the top of my head Mudhole had some cheaper bags of rings. EBay would be second. I will try to think of any others.

Tony- I've had good luck with Shoff tackle in Puyallup for budget rings. http://www.shofftackle.com/

Or Anglers Workshop is relatively close to you in Woodland. http://www.anglersworkshop.com/

Mudhole is the walmart of rod building, and I'll never be ordering cork from them again, as the value just wasn't there in regards to quality/cost.

    Just my .02

Both are great to work with and are where I get most of my components. You could call either and I am sure they would set you up with what you want/need.
