Wondering about input from the forum about the best times to return in the fall to the basin lakes.

I've always waited for a whole week of night temps below 50 degrees.

Any other suggestions about weather/air temperature indicators for good water temps out there?

Had a great summer on the moving water and excited to get back to the still.

I have heard in the past that when most outdoor fellas are hunting and the World Series is going down, some of the best fishing can be found out on the dry side of the state.
It seems like the 50 degree mark you mentioned would be a good indicator as well, especially since every year is so different around here with the weather patterns.
