ALRIGHT, I AM MOVED INTO THE NEW PAD AND HAVE A SPOT TO TIE. ANY TAKERS FOR A BLIND MANS SWAP FOR NYMPHS?? THIS WILL BE LIKE THE BLIND MANS DRY FLY SWAP, JUST WITH NYMPHS. NOTHING SMALLER THAN A SIZE 16, OTHER THAN THAT, ANYTHING GOES ALONG AS IT'S A NYMPH. AS FOR A TIMELINE....CALL IT THE END OF MARCH, GETTING THE FLIES IN.

LET ME KNOW....WHO WANTS TO TAKE PART,

    TY

    -----------------------------THE SWAP IS FULL!!!!----------------------------------------------------------

    WE HAVE

    SUBTLET SKEELS
    NED AND JANE CHARLIE ERDMAN
    JASON SEANENGMAN
    DARIK ISLANDER
    KDOG

    HERE IS MY NEW ADDRESS

    TYLER RAKES
    533 18TH STREET
    WASHOUGAL, WA 98671

I AM CALLING IT GOOD A LITTLE EARLY BECAUSE I HAVE HAD A REQUEST TO HAVE THE FLIES INTO ME EARLIER SO THE PERSON CAN USE THEM ON A TRIP.
LETS CALL IT....MARCH 21'ST. THIS SHOULD LEAVE PLENTY OF TIME FOR THE AMOUNT OF FLIES THAT NEED TO BE TIED.

SO, FOR THE ROOKIES OUT THERE, THIS IS WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN. TIE UP EIGHT OF ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE NYMPH PATTERNS IN SIZE 16 OR BIGGER, AND STUFF IN AN ALTOIDS TIN OR SOMTHING SIMILAR. PLEASE INCLUDE A TOE TAG WITH EACH FLY WITH THE FLY NAME, WHO IT WAS TIED BY, A COUPLE BUCKS FOR RETURN SHIPPING AND ALSO A RECIPE FOR THE FLY (I WILL TRY TO DO THIS RIGHT FOR THOSE WHO DID MY LAST SWAP.)
IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE A DAY OR TWO LATE THAT IS FINE, LIFE HAPPENS, WE ALL UNDERSTAND. IF SOMTHING HAPPENS TO WHERE YOU HAVE TO DROP OUT...PLEASE LET US KNOW AHEAD OF TIME, THIS WAY I DONT WIND UP WITH THREE EXTRA FLIES. I ENJOY THE ADDED FLIES, BUT I FEEL GUILTY.
I AM STILL KINDA NEW AT THIS MYSELF, THIS IS ONLY MY SECOND SWAP I HAVE PUT ON AND THE THIRD I HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN, SO IF I HAVE FORGOTTEN SOMTHING, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

I GUESS I COULD TELL YOU GUYS WHAT I AM GOING TO TIE UP...I WILL DO AN IZZY NYMPH. A DEDICATION TO MY CAT (WHO'S HAIR I WILL USE TO TIE THE FLY.), IT IS A FUZZY VARIATION OF A GRHE, INSTEAD OF RABBIT HAIR, I WILL USE IZZY HAIR. I LANDED THE ONLY STEELHEAD I HAVE CAUGHT ON A FLY ROD WITH ONE OF THESE SO THEY DO WORK.

WITH ALL THAT SAID....LET THE TYING BEGIN!!!!

    TY

ALSO NOTE, ONLY GONNA HAVE LIKE 10-12 PEOPLE (OR LESS IF WE HAVE A SMALLER, COMMITED GROUP), AND ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS ONE FLY, LARGER THAN SIZE 16.

NO PROB BEING A NEW GUY. ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS TIE UP HOW EVER MANY FLIES ARE NEEDED BY THE SET TIME, THROW THEM IN AN ALTOIDS TIN OR SOMTHING LIKE THAT WITH A RECIPE AND BUCK OR TWO FOR RETURN SHIPPING.

THIS IS THE FIRST, WHO ELSE WANTS IN

ALRIGHT!! WE ARE GETTING A BIT OF INTEREST.

THIS WOULD BE A GREAT SWAP FOR ANY FIRST TIMERS. I AM NOT THAT STRINGENT ON THE DATE YOU GET THEM TO ME, JUST DONT MAKE IT THE END OF JULY, I WILL CONTACT YOU IF THEY ARE LATE THOUGH TO MAKE SHURE YOU DIDNT FORGET. I UNDERSTAND THAT LIFE HAPPENS, SOME TIMES FLY TYING TAKES A BACKSEAT FOR ONE REASON OR ANOTHER.
NYMPHS ARE THE EASIEST TO TIE UP (I THINK THEY ARE ANY WAY), YOUR QUALITY DOES NOT HAVE TO BE PROFESIONAL, JUST MAKE SHURE THAT IF YOU WERE A FISH, THAT YOU WOULD EAT IT.OHH, CLEAN THE EYES OF THE HOOK TOO. I ALMOST FORGOT TO DO THAT THIS LAST SWAP.

    ALRIGHT ANY ONE ELSE???

YEAH, WE SHOULD SAY OUR FLIES, THAT WAY WE DONT WIND UP WITH TEN GRHE'S. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS ARE DOING, AND THEN I WILL DECIDE WHAT I WILL DO.

I AM THINKING MARCH 31'ST FOR A DUE DATE.

THREE OR FOUR MORE SPOTS OPEN, GET 'EM WHILE THEY ARE HOT.

I'd like to get in this swap. This is my first swap as well. I'll tie up some lightning bugs.

    TTT,

I haven't done a swap in a couple years, I'll get in on this one if there's still a spot open. Nymph undecided, I'll look over a couple I've been working on lately.

I think I will be working on a black stonefly that I have been thinking about. Poll: Do you guys like them weighted or un-weighted?

HOW THICK DO YOU MAKE YOUR STONES NED?? IF THEY ARE THE THINNER STYLE, I WOULD GO WITH WEIGHTED. IF THEY ARE THE FATTY THICK ONES LIKE KAUFMANS, I WILL GO WITH UNWEIGHTED.

I THINK THE UNWEIGHTED THICK ONES RIDE BETTER THROUGH THE WATER.
    JUST MY .02

I AM ITCHING TO GO FISHING, CANT WAIT FOR THE WARMER WEATHER AND THE FLIES IN THE MAIL.

Bummer, didn't see this before it filled. TyTheTier, if someone has to bail I can fill in. I have a great Montana Nymph variation that is killer at Lone Lake.

    Ty,

I think you forgot yourself. So instead it would be 9 flies. Still a pretty small swap. I say let Islander in and make it an even ten flies.

Also, they are pretty thick bent hook # 8. the abdomen is thick rubber tubing with olive oil in it (a cool trick I learned from the local shop) which thorax of thick black dubbing, turkey, duck flank and biots sticking out all over.
