    It is said that Tom Kirkman's book is a good start, along with "Advanced Rod Building". A good website for more information on these topics is www.rodbuilding.org.

    "Advanced Custom Rod Building" by Dale P. Clemens (Winchester Press, 1978) was the definitive word on the subject in its time. The rodbuilding website in Rob's post should fill in any gaps.
