Long story short, my mom is at stage four after stomping the big C once before and she plans to move to the Baltimore area to live with my sister, grandkids and great grandkids to enjoy the time she has left. Her bucket list includes a day fishing with my brother (who just happens to be here from Wichita) and me in the same boat before she leaves. I have a 10' Pram that I could cram everyone into but I was hoping to provide something a bit more comfortable for her. The 20th unfortunately is the only day that works, but I could pick up the boat on a different day.

I have an electric motor and I think my trailer would work for other boats. If you have anything you might be willing to loan me for the day I'd greatly appreciated it and I'd also be willing to throw in some of my new lake patterns as a trade.

    Thanks in advance.

My raft is quite comfortable if you want to use it. I could launch my power boat for you if you want more comfort and just tool around on some bigger water like Stevens or Washington.

Ira, very sorry to here about your Mother. I no longer own a boat, but would have been happy to loan it to you if I did. All the best to her and your family.

Ira, what a great idea. I doubt this will help, but if you are anywhere near the east side you have a very clean and comfortable 14', 3 seat Rocky Mountain Trout Boat at your disposal.

Thanks to everyone but I think I have a solution, I just went and bought a 12' Jon Boat for $325 that fits on my pram trailer. I've been wanting a bit bigger boat for awhile so I can fish my wife and our two sons all together. So for less than I can buy a pontoon boat I think I'm ok. The only real problem though is I haven't told my wife yet. Oh well if she is too madd I guess after the trip I could always turn around and resell it.

    This community seriously rocks!

No sane wife should be mad when you get a 12 foot boot for $325 to fish more with your family...good luck Ira, show her a good time, take some photos

I've been looking for a john boat, but I need a seventeen or eighteen footer to customize for the big river. I hope your trip is, ahheem, Epic. My mother has an inoperable brain tumor, so I can relate. I wish I would have taught my mom to flyfish when she asked many years ago.

Ira, My 14' Lund is at Lone now. You know the boat. 3 comfy seats. I would just need to use yours that day at Lone due to a scheduled club Fish-out. By the way, you would be welcome to join us for hot dogs at 11:30.

Ok, this sounds like a deal. Does the boat have anchors and anchor pulls? Either way I can always transfer over what I need.

Thanks and I bet it won't be hard to talk my mom and brother into hotdogs.

Hey Ira, I think you and I fished out of Jake's boat once. It's set up just right for what you do! And your Mom won't go overboard with her wicked hook set!
