Bow River Adventure

Discussion in 'Trip Reports with Pics' started by Dave Henry, Apr 30, 2011.

  1. My wife and I spent easter weekend on the Bow river, just South of calgary. It was an invite from a friend that we couldn't refuse. Hi mission was to locate good holding spots for the upcoming season and film some video. He's another Meiser fanatic so there wer plenty of rods to pass around. We got fish swinging and nymphing with spey and switch rods. Many of them were impressive sizes. We even hit a few nice rainbows even though the bulk of them had gone up to spawn recently. Here's a few pics that will tell the story.

  2. Wow, fantastic photos and fine fish! What kind of camera?

  3. Wow great looking browns, that must have been fun.

  4. I use a Rebel T3i and an Olympus Stylus 1030. I use a free downloaded program to correct the colors and lighting. We're cheapo aspiring photographers.

  5. Great photo's Dave...I have never had the opportunity to fish for browns, hopefully someday soon! I'll be two-handing for trout real soon...maybe i can send some pics to your website!

  9. Sweet trip Dave! Lots of nice fish and looks like a blast. I've always wanted to fish the bow, might have to get on it.

  10. Nice pictures. I hope to hit the Bow when I am up in that neck of the woods for a wedding in a couple of weeks.
