Here in Dillon this morning it was minus 16. It's warmed up to minus 11 so far this morning. It never came out of the minus yesterday. It got to a minus 2 as yesterdays high.

Just got to be NUTS to like this weather. And I am NUTS.

Temps ain't nowhere close to those on the other side of the hill, but that is just fine with me. +20 on my deck this morning is about +60 degrees too cold for me. But, and there is always that pesky but, there is no ice in my guides this morning. I'm keeping those plastic sticks in the sock today.

Normally the temperature here must be under zero but now 12C.
For fishing I have to wait until the third weekend of march then the season starts again for 2014:)

Saturday forecast: A 20 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high near 24.

Us local weenies will stay home.

Ok, I'm a wimp. I had a casting lesson this morning in Carnation and tried to use finger-less gloves, but my hands couldn't stand it. I had to put on some insulated gloves.

I've been wanting to hit the Ford also but I will be waiting a bit. Like Zen said good chance of snow and cold.

I've got cabin fever, but fishing frozen guides all day, not much fun.
Still, sun bathing temps on the west side compared to the east side.
My time being spent on the vice getting ready for the warm up maybe in a few weeks...

When I lived in Bermuda I had a Puerto Rican friend who often said:
"Eet kood be worst" Same here, it was only -2 on the hill this morning but friends down on the river had -8 with about 25mph winds. That's just bitter to be out in. More of the same on Thursday, not a good day for a 200 mile round trip.

On a more positive note pitchers and catchers report to spring training next week so perhaps the end is in sight. That first 60 degree day is going to be really sweet this year.

I've fished Rocky Ford at 18 degrees. It's not as bad as you think because the relatively warm water melts frozen guides quickly.

5 here this morning; very enjoyable with the sore throat I picked-up. Didn't take the dog long to finish his business this morning; I'll have to check for golden arches after it gets light . . .

I was downtown Seattle yesterday, with 699,999 of my closest friends. Warm by your standards maybe but pretty cold for here. Last night was low teens and has warmed up to 22 now. Do what you have to do and keep an eye on your family and friends.
