I fished the incoming on a nice South Sound beach Tuesday night, and there were tons of chum fry dimpling a long cast offshore. I limbered up and started flogging the water with one of Bob Triggs' Chum Baby flies.

No hits -- and I was hammering away for more than a hour. Then I noticed that there were no more sea-run cutt boils offshore. I turned around -- I was in thigh-deep water -- and found cutts walloping chum fry behind me.
