    I tied this for a friend who recently retired from the Air Force. He was a B-52 Navigator.

    I think it is approriately tied in blue and silver with swept wings, just like It's namesake

    Here is the recipe:

    Hook: Alec Jackson spey size 5
    Tip: Fine oval gold
    Tag: Red Floss
    Tail: Lady amherst tippet
    Body: Rear 2/3s blue floss, front 1/3 blue imitation seal
    Rib: Flat silver tinsel and fine oval silver
    Counter rib: Extra fine copper wire
    Hackle: Imitation blue heron, silver/gray
    Collar: Guinea fowl and royal blue schlappen
    Wing: Turkey tail segments
    Head: Red

    I notice you're still finding a way to slip a little red into just about every fly of any reasonable size...

    And, pardoning my ignorance in advance, is it a spey fly?
