Ahhhh, the peaceful sound of crickets chirping. The silence is deafening.
That depends on whether you require facts or fiction. In the interests of discussion I'll add the following:
1. Generally no, but a wolf, a stupid one anyway, might be killed by a grizzly bear, and a really giant golden eagle might fly off with a wolf pup.
2. 4 - 40, increasing incrementally with your dislike or hatred of wolves.
3. Yes. Killing elk calves is so easy and fun, at least the first dozen or so. However, like veal, elk calves are so tasty they have to eat at least the first one or two.
Hope this helps.
I've seen beast master..............four times.
I really like where this thread is going in the last few posts.
It's entertaining... and probably just as viable as debates in Congress... maybe more so.
I think we can all agree though Beastmaster is an excellent movie.
I hated it
Thanks Roper, I'm walking just a little bit taller today.
Never seen Beastmaster. Does it star wolves? Specifically McKenzie grey wolves?
This is the best post I've read so far. I defer to the one who has seen the movie 4 times. I have only watched it three.
Now...I hate to throw gasoline on the fire...but tomorrow is the full moon.
Don't forget your wolfsbane and silver bullets!
Thanks bill. Its nice to have ones credentials verified. Especially by someone with such superb taste in cinema.
I'm glad somebody takes this shit seriously, as a know nothing expert that pays taxes so you can have a nice research job at the university.. its been fun pulling your chain, oh yeah I'm a invasive human with roots to the european region
another interesting canadian perspective bite from just over the border in the kootenays...they announced a few weeks/months ago here that they plan on culling wolves in bc, quite a controversial move so far.
One question...for those of you that are against wolves or the re-introduction of wolves. Here we all are, fishermen, people who love being outside, seeing wildlife, layman entemologists, catching fish, being in touch with nature and all that cheesy stuff....yet for some reason many of you do not support the notion of a healthy ecosystem, with all its parts intact. I find that confusing, if we were a forum of brick layers, or pilots, or doctors (no offence to any of those sub-categories) then i would understand, but in general, as fly fishermen, we all love nature, animals, and fish. To me it just seems to go hand in hand......i realize now i never asked the question, oh well, you get the point.
A movie...I thought you were talking about my first wife!
Anyone else ready for a cougar thread?
badger vs. wolf...who wins?
Would that be the the older woman type of cougar?
I learned along time ago that the world is divided into thirds, 1/3 disagree, 1/3 agree and 1/3 don't give a shit. So the 1/3 of the no shit givers who want to know the biological facts of bringing wolves might want to be educated on the facts.... .
Otherwise quit killing the Columbia River Dace because it's more natural and less intrusive than the wolf. Subjective biology pisses me off from those that are so passionate and educating future generations.
The shit is so secretive that it can't be displayed, another undercover agenda by those expert bios... google cry wolf the movie, grab a beer and tear it apart.
Long live the Columbia River Dace!
