I've finally realized that my aspirations to doing my SLR camera justice are probably never going to be realized, so I'm putting my camera system on the block (keeping the point and shoot and digitals, though).

    Here's the deal:
    ~Canon Rebel XS SLR body
~standard Canon 35-80mm zoom AF/MF lens not sure of the speed.
~Quantaray 100-300mm zoom AF/MF telephoto lens, not very fast.
~Canon MF/AF 50mm F 1.8 fixed lens. This is the best lens of the lot.
~UV and Polarizing filters that fit the 50mm and smaller zoom lens... great for shots of fish underwater
    ~Canon bag that holds everything.

All together the lot set me back about $500 when new. Since it's a low-end SLR and an old model (except for the 50mm lens, which they still offer), the prices have fallen through the roof. Therefore, I'll let it all go for $225, assuming I don't change my mind.

    Nevermind!!!

So, I just checked what the cameras are going for on ebay, and I've decided not to sell it. $75-100 for an SLR with no fault other than it's old is just ridiculous. I'm going to redouble my efforts at learning how to actually make the sucker work to the best of its ability.

I guess the 10x Zoom 4.0 megapixel digital is going to have to wait!
