    Body Hackle: Grizzly, dyed dun
    Rib: Wire, silver
    Tail: Pheasant tail barbs - sparse
    Body: Rabbit, dyed olive
    Wing: Whiting Coq de Leon hen saddle barbs, dyed olive - sparse
    Cloak: Whiting Coq de Leon hen saddle barbs, dyed olive - sparse

    Note: Sparse dressing, for the calmer day ripple

    now that is a very nice fly! I love CdL. Great fly Hans. May i ask is that your vise in the image? or a device for holding flies for photos?

    It is a spring-loaded clip for holding the flies to photograph.

    I've been looking for one of those clip tools for fly photos and have found some that are close but not as nifty as the one Hans uses for his photos.

    Cross locking tweezers are not a bad alternative. Here is a nice pair with its own stand:
