fished saturday morning at mcgiver park below the hatchery. found some great water down river of the plunking hole and it was loaded with steelhead. i was fishing with a friend and we raised 4 fish and landed 1 about 8 lbs. it was a nice bright fish. i was suprised to see so many, we spotted around 20 fish in 1 mile of river. water was up a foot or two from last week and was quite warm so close below the dam,we were wet wading at 4:30 am. the fish seemed quite active until about 10 am when the clouds started to burn off. the steely was landed on a #6 fall caddis pupa bead head dead drifted. a very nice morning indeed.
