Just curious about when you might start fishing Coldwater. I went a couple times last Fall with mixed success (good one day, really not good the other day) but am having a bout of "cabin fever" as I don't steelhead fish (yet). Could a guy fish it reasonably in April? What about March? Any prior experience would be very helpful and if you want to email me my address is:

I've had some luck fishing there as early as March. I've also been skunked at Coldwater in March. But that was mostly due to near blizzard conditions. Fishing seems to be the best at the northern end of the lake regardless of what time of year it is. With this mild winter it would not surprise me if you could have some success up there right now. Last year I was catching fish all the way into December. If you only make a few trips here every year, make sure you fish it at least once in June. The fishing can be very good then.
