I've been looking at getting a poonton for awhile, I found a colorado XT that is new in the box. He has had it for 3 years sitting in the box in his garage. Includes the electric trolling motor (not sure if its any good or the brand).

I have two concerns, would sitting folded up in a box that long damage it in any way? Second are they a good boat in general if I wanted to use it for lakes and say the occasional float on the green.

Oh he is asking $300 for it but has been trying to sell it for almost a month now, I could maybe get it for $250?

I would be very concerned about bladders having weak points at the creases or worse yet the pinching of materials. I have no experience with this boat but would be inclined to pass and try to get an outcast at a good price.
Having said that this could be a great deal. Just remember buyer beware.

$300 would be a great price. Lowest I've seen on line is $499 at Cabela's, but maybe there are som closeouts someplace?

I have had one of these same bots for over 5 years now. Store it with pontoons folded each winter, get it out and use it in summer. Not one leak, no issues. Great little boat for the $$, but I paid $300 for mine brand new back then. I use a trolling motor in lakes and it works great, but will do a DIY mod for a front mount for motor this year.. if you can get it for 250 or less, its an ok deal.
