Ok I am going camping with my wife's side of the family and have been over ruled about where we camp at. So instead of throwing a fit and all I have decide to just make the best of it. now for what I need help with I fish stream's and river's I prefer to fish stuff I can wade across at some point with in a 1/4 mile one way or the other, so that kind of rules out the columbia as its a big river. I know there is a ton of creek's up there cedar and big sheep creek. I was just wanting to find some to fish. I don't know if these even have fish in them though I would guess they do. So if someone can help and send me a pm or post something giving me some ideas of there to go I would be thank full and you would help a guy who so badly wants to spend this weekend with a fly rod in his hands!!!!

I wade fish the Columbia around Castlegar and Trail BC so I would imagine that there are areas around Northport that are fishable from shore. Even with a jet boat I still put ashore and walk and wade, I am 73 so I would guess that some one younger could do it. Just be sure and wear a Life Vest, I have had the rocks and gravel slide out from under my feet. As you posted it is big water so wade with care.

I will take a PDF and give it a go. I just figure as big as that area is that there should some smaller bodys of water feeding it that have some fish in them. I have hear cedar creek has some nice little brookies in it.

Check your regs. Alot of smaller stuff up that way doesn't open until June first. You might luck into a good hatch on the Columbia, which would probably be your best bet. Big sheep I felt would be a great creek if special regs were put in place. It seems like entire sections of that picture perfect fly water are overfished.

Probably too late now, as you're likely getting a ticket as I write this, but check your regs again. Not one creek in that area opens until June . The ceder creek you saw in regs is in a different county.

Man our regs suck. I see that a few really small tribs open up today, but definitely not any of the ones mentioned above.
