Has anyone ever fished the Colville River?

I have a reason to be traveling over Snoqualmie to the Chewelah area on Saturday. I am trying to find the best place to stop for a couple of hours. I have been thinking the Yakima, but in perusing the map I see hwy 231 goes clear from Sprague to Chewelah. And there on the map is the Colville River right next to the road.

Any suggestions anyone as to the best use of my time? If it is Yakima I guess I need to find access around Easton. Would that be the best?

    Thanks,

    Mark

Much of the Colville River runs through private property. I drive along it quite often but never see anyone fishing it. The Yakima is probably a better bet.
