Hi, I'm in the market for a rod for larger Steelhead and Medium size Chinook in BC and is considering the Loop Cross S1 9wt 13'6" model. Would appreciate comments and feedback from those who had cast or fished with this rod. What is the recommended grain window for Skagit line? Will it cast a 700gr Skagit Max with 15ft of T14 or T17? Thanks in advance.

Check out the big stick forum. I think the founder has the eight wt and may be able to provide some insight. I just got the eight wt, but haven't even cast it yet. Great looking rod though. Tough to find any info. Ive got a sticky with all the recommended head wts, but can't find it. I'll post if I do. May also check Leland Fly...pretty sure they sell them.
