Well, the guys and I will be fishcamping at Cooper tomorrow thru Sunday, getting stumped by 6" fish, looking at horrible scenery, and fighting off armies of ticks and Sasquatches. If anyone's around and wants to stop in for a drink and a smoke, I'll be in the green Scadden toon.

Hey guys. Sorry for the late reply.
Trip was just okay. The wind kicked our asses almost the entire time, except for before 7:00 am. Tried various emergers, buggers, and nymphs, but the majority of my fish were caught on a squirrel leach on both a hover line and a type 3-4 sink, depending on where I was on the lake. Fished for probably a combined fifteen hours and landed fifteen fish total. Two browns. One nice rainbow pushing 18", and all the rest were 10-14". Lots of LDRs. Lots of new stocker tailbiters just tentatively tugging and never taking.
Really kind of poor results considering they've put about 7000 fish in there in this 130 acre lake in the last month, and it's only been accessible for a couple weeks or so. Last August we made the same trip and I averaged about twenty per day.
Still well worth it. Great bunch of guys and the views are wicked awesome.

    Rob -
Thanks for the update, looks like you had a good time. Were there any other campers up at the lake? Curious if it gets crowded.

That place is always packed not a place for peace and quite, but you can sneak away to the other side with a boat.
