    Hey all,

I'll be in Alaska this spring and am thinking about visiting friends in Cordova for the first week of May. From the research I've done it seems like this isn't the best time for fishing, but either way I'll probably head out there with rods and such. Anyone spent much time up there?

Well you should be able to find cutts in the delta streams, also the rockfish, and halibut fishing will be in full swing. Probably some good trolling for kings too. As far as places to go fishing in AK the first week of may Cordova is right up there.

I only fished saltwater around Cordova, so I don't know anything about the trout down there. I do know trout is closed in the anchorage and kenai areas until June 11, and even after that it is not much good until August. Is it open during your trip?
