What do folks use for cork filler? I have a nasty little gash in my trout rod that I would like to fill. Thanks.

I save my cork dust and just add Tite bond III. Use enough glue to make it hold in the pit but not drip or run. Then I sand with 220 to start and end with 800. Shizam it's that easy

I have used Elmer's wood filler paste before. Just spread it on there with a knife, lightly sand it and add cork sealer.

Liquid wood. Has a consistency of dry wall filler. Once dried. Take a brown sharpie marker and color the filler brown. Sand that down well and then you will not be able to see filler period.
