Could be Steve Buckner. He lives and guides on the Cowlitz, and I think his sled is an Alumaweld.

That would have been Mike Sturza from Lost Creek Fly Shop and Mike Sturza's FlyFishing Guide Service. Check the wesite out www.lostcreekflies.com and go to the fishing report and tell me if that was the same boat.

You should follow him if he was by himself. He's no doubt going to his secret honey holes that no one else knows about.

Had some obligations,so couldn't make it today. He took Val.
    I see the river dropped.
I bet it was crowded with all other rivers blown.
May make a dawn patrol tomorrow.

That's the guy. And the boat. Sadly, I was on a boat chucking eggs with three other guys from work.

If anyone wants to float tomorrow i am probably going to do it in my WaterMaster and risk death. Maybe a huge orange bike flag would be helpful?

It was a 1973 Hewscraft I bought from Steve Chote a few years ago.

A circus today, as bad as it gets.
Jesse, you'd be at risk if you took a toon into that maelstrom.
A safer float would be Mission to I-5
