Nailed it. The only time I I needed it all year was carping on banks. Even then I found better carp flats on reservation waters.

I want to try the new 6wt that I got for Christmas. Would anyone have a extra 6wt reel/line there're willing to let me borrow tomorrow? It would be nice to get a feel for the rod and what I might want in a line.

Thanks guys, but Bill is going to bring a 6wt 444 and reel. I would like to try several lines, but I don't think I'll want to do much experimenting with the creek right there in front of me. :)

A lake cleanup at Little Cavanaugh. I still have that part of my old guy memory. TroutMaster and Microbrew....and from there I forget.

All, Let's show up at the middle, camping parking lot at 9AM. I'll have a camera for a group photo. Hope that works for all.

Nice to meet everyone! I had a good time and even caught some fish like this one. Biggest fish was around 24".

Wish I could have been there. My wife convinced me to take it easy for a while and start out with something that wouldn't tax me too much before fly fishing.

    So we went cross-country skiing.

    Glad you guys had fun.

It was great to put some faces with names today. Pretty typical day at the Ford for me. Found a streamer bite in the morning then things slowed down. Tried scuds for a while, found a few then switched back to streamers when it started getting dark and snowing hard.

Your second fish looks about the size of a serving platter.

I saw the crowd at the middle parking lot and said to myself? Way to crowded for me.
So I parked down at the lower bridge and pretty much had the creek to myself.
As for the fishing, I'll just say at "When I close my eyes all I can see is rainbows"
The fish story of the day was.
I hooked up a nice fish that broke my off my tippet knot. So I retied a new tippet put a new bug on and about the third or forth cast I hooked up a nice fish and when I went to remove my bug from it's mouth I found my bug and tippet I had just lost not 10 mins. ago.
    Has this ever happened before?
I've recovered other fishers flies but never my own.
Glad you all had a good time among the snow flakes.
