There has been an outpouring of support from across the nation. The last count I heard was that over $11,000 has been raised from people in states as far away as Maine. The national Chessie breed club even gave a large donation for his continued care. He had his first surgery over the weekend and his outlook is favorable at this point.
My nephew is in his 2nd year at WSU vet school. I have asked him for an update or information. Will post if I get any info.
