    A roughwater version(?) of the Double Humpy.


    hook - Mustad 9671 #8
    thread - UTC 140 tan
    tail - deer hair
    underbody - Ice Dub golden brown
    overbody - 2mm foam tan (folded, 2 layers)
    wing(s) - deer hair
    legs - medium rubber brown
    hackle - ginger


    mash barb, cover shank with thread

    clean, stack, measure (gap width) a clump of deer hair

    tie in; spiral wrap forward to create underunderbody

    tie in folded foam strip (gap width) at point above barb

    [​IMG]


    dub thread; dub body, return thread to 1/3 mark

    tie down foam, one strip at a time

    clean, stack, measure (tips extend to eye) a clump of deer hair; tie in

    trim butts, tie in hackle

    add rubber legs

    wrap hackle, trap with 2 thread wraps and trim tip

    add a little dubbing, pull foam back and move thread to 2/3 position

    repeat previous sequences (measure 2nd deer hair wing from 1st tie-in position)

    pull foam up, dub a bit more, half hitch x 2, SHHAN

    trim head and legs
