I may be up for RF in the afternoon if I get my "chores" done in time. I have some cement people coming by.

Zen man - I know you can't stay away from that place!!
I'll be rolling in between 2-3 oclock. I will be in my suburu with boat on top and hopefully good reports from Dry Falls

Dry Falls was another on my list... oh holy hell, this decision is now getting hard. Maybe Bill's recommended Lake W on Friday then DF Saturday to meet DP??

In any case, if you see my Dodge with the Palomino camper or me bobbing around on my red Bucks Southfork, say hi.

here is my follow up report: the trip ended be one of those "what a beautiful lake" days, and not a lot of fish caught - at all. The great thing is that I got to meet and fish with Freestone on Dry Falls and Rocky Ford. Dry Falls was beautiful. A total of 4 people on the lake, light winds and just gorgeous. my hares ear was getting nicked a lot with no hook ups so I had my hopes up. Ends up those nicks were 5 inch rainbows. Caught a few of them in the open area right off the launch. Fished the bowl to the right with nothing to show for it. Freestone went to the back area underneath the look out and when I came around the bend I saw his rod was bent over. Hoping I was getting into the action finally, I had a little kick to my flippers. But no love for me as I saw him hook into another one. We bumped into each other and he said a bugger was working. Well, it didn't for me, but I was still enjoying the scenery. finally got one fish about 12 inches between the rock islands on the hares ear. by now it was close to 1:00 and I needed to meet a friend at Rocky. so loaded up and hit the road with Freestone coming along.
I was not expecting much in the heat of the day at Rocky but fished for a few hours. I hooked and almost landed one in the middle section on a glowbug/egg pattern. had a few other looks as well. the scud was just plain being ignored yet I saw quite few fish rooting in the bottom and raising up scuds. Again, beautiful day, good company and that was going to be my day.
My friend came out and he eventually landed one on a scud after I left. His first time back in a number of years.
I think I am putting up the fly rods for a bit to start hitting the sound for kings. Time to hopefully fill the freezer. I'll give reports on that fishing soon - not sure under which Forum though.

    have fun - dp
