you can bring a tent trailer and stay at Sun Lakes SP and yes there is RFC near, But other than fishing, hiking, and sun shine not much more to do I know of.

Take the kids to see the spawning fish down the road on way there. Take the family to the caves. Let the wife go to the spa in Soap Lake There is a visiter center above Dry Falls that explains the history of the area. Then there is always Electric City.

Don't overlook Park, Blue and Perch lakes for flyfishing. Dry Falls can be challenging, aka tough, but these other lakes should be very productive. They can be non-stop action, great with a light rod for 12-14" 'bows plus carryovers.

i think he was more worried about non fishing activities for the family while he is drinking, cussing, and not catching any fish with us.

Shopping in Moses Lake, Ephrata, browsing antique stores in Soap Lake. Masquers performance, "On Golden Pond", play in Soap Lake. Fine dining at Don's in Soap Lake, also as said above, everyone should take the trail to Lenore Caves. Some great exhibits at Dry Falls Interpretative Center, miniature golf and paddle boats for the kids, and regulation golf course Sun Lakes Resort.

my dad grew up in coulee city, and my grandparents lived there until i was 14. That being said, i LOVE the area and would really like to attened this event. If anyone is willing to give me a seat in there vechile along with a backpack and my deflated float tube/rod from the spokane area I would really be thankfull. I can bring some beers to share (not on the road of course) and possibly pitch in a few bucks for gas. The reason I don't drag myself over is that im very poor right now :p So yea, if your rig has an extra seat please send me a PM so we can make plans. Thanks, Dustin.

Mumbles, if you are looking to convince the old lady here are some local attractions that the family might enjoy.

Prehistoric Caves. Rhinoceros Cave (trapped by lava flows a cast remains left behind) Steamboat Rock, Grand Coulee Dam (tours available and sometimes a laser light show at night explaining the history), Dry Falls Musuem (let the kids marvel at the greatest floods the earth has ever known, the coulees are very unique. Golf (i doubt thats important) ok, well now that i went over that... good luck! lol.

Probably a toss-up between I 90 & 2, no camping at Dry Falls lake. Camping and the outing group will be in Sun Lakes State park campground, Sun Lakes resort also has campground and cabins. Rough camping available at S. end of Alkali if you want free camp site w/o facilities.
