I recently got a Sage RPL blank that has the following model designation on it:

    GFL Graphite III 690-4 RPLB

I am curious as to the "GFL" acronym - the Sage repair person I spoke with thinks it just means the blank is a graphite fly blank but I am not sure that's entirely right. I have also heard that it stands for "Graphite Fiber Layup", but I dunno...

Anybody else have some notion of what the "GFL" might mean?

    Thanks

    I believe.....

GFL - Graphite Fly Rod, G=Graphite, FL = Fly

    I know

    RPL - Reserve Power Light
