Other than Amber Lake, are there any other lakes on the eastside that open up in March and has any been to any of these lakes recently to see how the ice is. I really want to get on the water this weekend. Thanks

Not to be flip but check the regs, Eastside Lakes - Special Rules. That will show you what lakes open March 1 and April 1. From what I heard, ice will be a problem depending on where you plan to go.

March 1 is the opener of the Lenice/Nunally chain for one. Can't speak to the ice however.

Apparently it's not going to happen until '08 at the earliest. Sorry to spread rumors.

Other day a guy showed me a couple pix of 6 plus pound large mouth bass that he pulled out of Newman on a fly rod. Pretty impressive!

Not sure but I think Williams and Badger aren't set to open till April.

A week or so ago, Amber was still pretty iced up except for a few parts. Hoping for a warm wet couple of days.
