Hi everyone, I'm trying to decide on an ECHO 3 7130. I'd like it to be an all around rod but wondering if it has enough backbone for the OP...

    Thoughts?

Love that rod, and would be great for all but the heaviest coast situations, but for one rod you could fish throughout WA it's a great stick. I really love it with a 510 AIrflo Skagit Compact and 12-15' tips.

How do you think it compares with a TFO Deer Creek 6/7 i30? For my applications, on the Methow and Wenatchee for summer runs, maybe a little less rod? I already have a Reddington 8wt, but it's a little too much of a big gun for those streams.

I love echo rods, and have a few myself. However, for the price point you can get into a higher end rod.
