Anyone got an Echo Gecko rod their kid has grown out of (or never wanted to use)?

Great rod, my daughter has one. I don't think I have seen a used one for sale? Over line it by a line weight for a little one, helps them to feel the rod load.

Yeah, I havent' seen a used one either. I'll probably just end up buying new. But I figured I'd post it up and see if someone had one collecting dust for whatever reason.

What reel do you have on there? Do they cast overhead, roll, or two-hand?

Each has a cabelas super large arbor. Plenty of backing and that half double taper. They two handed overhead and roll cast mostly at this time.

    And yes, they catch fish!

I have had the orvis BBS and Disc on my daoughters. So anything light will work for them. Redington makes a couple of nice reels also. I would not worry much about backing as they are not going to cast very far and chances are they are going to catch smaller fish.
