A little different than the US, but got to fish the River Test while traveling through London. Very nice river.

Trip Insurance has its perks, might as well get some tweeds.

Met up with Dave Martin who guides in England. Leased the beat from Lord Cambridge for the day on the River Test. (Yeah, I will Hop Spot it)

Within a couple casts, I was almost hooked up with this Trophy Swan.

This fish seemed to be on too.

All Upstream casts, mostly dries, and picky fish, overall a very good time.

The weather set in for a bit, had to pull out the tweed hat. Seems like the new fishing hat had built in luck.

Nice! I make the trip to London several times a year, that Orvis shop is almost always a stop since it's practically the closest one to Rome!

    Thanks for sharing,

I've a invitation through a family connection to fish the Nadder, a tributary of the River Avon, about 30 miles west of the Test. Seen both, albeit without rod or rights and there are some impressive trout in those little chalkstreams. As you said, very selective fish; what was the fly you were successful with? Nice report, thanks for posting

If you don't mind, how much does it cost to fish the streams there? I've always wondered...
