Sounds like a rod shop in a box! There are a lot of really nice items available at some sweet prices. For those who are interested in making a simple bamboo rod yourself, do some internet search work on "Poor Man's Quad". All you really need is bamboo and a plane to make a nice casting rod, plus the components of course. I belive you can turn out a rod in about a weekend of work. Mike
Hi, I'd like to buy the following: steel roughing form; node press; Lie Nielson 212 scraper; 15 agate tip-tops;1-box java brown naples; 1-box java brown gossamer; 1-box; Lie Nielson 9 1/2 block plan; and the Milward book. Thanks, Denver H.
Dear Tom Bowden, I'm sorry but what's a PM? Please see my purchase request sent to this thread. I'm new to this as you can see. Best, Denver
Come on Josh, you know you want to do this, all you need is some bamboo and a plane ($50 bamboo+$40 Stanley plane with a hock iron) to get started. For under a hundred bucks you would have enough to make 20 rods easily. Mike
