First one of these I've tied in a long time; I may not be done trimming it yet.

If you've never fished these type of flies before, understand that fish will turn them into a tangled mess. Bring along a comb or a small pet brush; lay the fly on a flat surface (your leg can serve, in a pinch) take a few strokes and you'll have the fly in fishable, if not pristine shape, in a flash.

    those are cool
    what's the material?
seems like a light - easy to cast fly

    Jamie,

Tied them with Congo Hair, from Flytyer's Dungeon; polypropylene, like EP Fibers, at about 1/3 the cost (although dealing with the Dungeonmaster sometimes makes me wonder if it's worth it :p ). Stuff sheds water and, like you said, makes them pretty easy to cast.

    Joe,

Yep, Mason 25lb. Forgot to put it on the first fly.

    Bob,

White belly, then olive and tan on top.
