WTF is farmed stealhead? To me, a "farmed stealhead" is a rainbow. If it is farmed it cant go from freshwater where it was born to live in salt or partial salt (or maybe even a lake) and then come back to where it was born to reproduce. That IMO is the definition of a stealhead, and a "farmed Stealhead" is like Ice Cold Hot Chocolate, a contradiction.

    RRB,

While this may not always be the case, as the market names (hence "silverbright salmon = chum) are whatever the growers / sellers want, but farmed steelhead are often steelhead that are grown out in net pens in the salt, just like farmed salmon (= farmed Atlantic salmon raised in net pens in the ocean).
