I watched the trailer on the Grand Illusion's web site. It looks like this is a story partially about fly fishing in Scotland, and also about fly tying. Great photography and art work on the trailer. I think I'm gonna go see it.

Sounds good. Unfortunately, that movie house is a bit far for us. Just checked Netflix and it is not currently available but I added it to our queue. Thanks for sharing.

saw the film. Its a story of a woman in Scotland who worked as a fly tier, told through interviews. Great photo and art work. Would have liked to see more fishing action shots.

Sorry to have missed what must have been a great movie. Megan Boyd was outstanding atlantic salmon fly tyer. You can see 40 of her flies on pages 78-81 of Joseph Bates 1996 Fishing Atlantic Salmon The Flies and The Patterns. Judith Dunham had a chapter on Megan Boyd in her 1991 book The Atlantic Salmon Fly The Tyers and Thier Art.

Here's a link to the trailer for the film.
