I took the spinning rod out for an hour of prospecting at my favorite pond. No luck. I still had a little time so I went to the stocked trout pond down the street and put on a kast master. Third cast - a nice largemouth! Here at 1500' altitude I think we need another week of warm weather before they get active. I bet the lower, warmer lakes in the area are already starting to produce.
Yup, the stocked one by the cow field. Interestingly it's already full of weed. It looks like there wasn't much winter die off.
chad, i'm definetly game. dunno if their in the seeps but i got the scoop on some good smallie and largemouth fishing around that area.
