    Thats a tad heavy

    My rod is 4oz and the reel is 5. Try to be sporting dude, even though u live in a cave.

    My fly fishing set up doesnt way 12 pounds ... *sigh* I'll try to phrase it so you dont get confused... My line is 6 pnd test... is it big enoguh for steelies...

    I wouldn't use anything under 10lb for steelhead, I usually run 15lb tippet. You don't want to have to play the fish out to the point of exhaustion. You should also be using at the least a 6wt rod, a 7 or 8wt is much more appropriate.
