Happy to report that I got into my first steelhead this weekend! I crossed paths with this fella early Saturday afternoon on the Klickitat.

Is that river brown in the background? I can't tell in the pic and I got a trip planned at the end of the week.

Anyway sweet fish man. The first one is the best.

I didn't fish it but I drove down the road next to the klickitat on Sunday and it looked good. Lot of people out fishing it as well, not surprising on a Sunday.

It was a great trip, and the vis was steadily increasing all weekend. We popped Andy's and another buddies steelhead cherries one some nice native fish. Weather, vis, and flows should be shaping up nicely through the weekend.
