I need to replace the fish feeders on my farm pond (feeding the bream which produce a nice food supply for my bass). I had a couple of very expensive($400 apiece) Aqua Pro solar powered, programmable feeders that haven't impressed me with their durability. I may try to rebuild them (again)...but my guess is that there is an inexpensive solution out there. The requirement is that they hold 50-100 pounds of small, dry floating pellets and broadcast the food according to the timer settings (feeding duration, frequency). The feeders are used on a dock so the broadcast pattern should be 90-180 degree arc...a 360 degree pattern won't work. I'd like a solar powered unit as there is no electricity available. Anyone have any suggestions?? Thanks for your help.
