My wife says fishing brings out the junk-food junkie in me...guilty as charged. For me much of the fun is the travel to/from and getting away from the grind. A few of my favorites that are not generally at the house include:
    • Ruffles chips with sour cream/onion dip
    • Rold Gold pretzels (traditional and stick shape)
    • Low fat Cheez-its (actually like the "healthy" ones better than originals)
So what's your favorite fish food?

A big bag of Fritos Scoops and a couple cans of that Jalapeno Cheddar dip goes with me anytime I am fishing from a boat. Love that stuff especially out on the water

    Salt and Vinegar chips.
Never seem to buy 'em for the house, always seem to have 'em when I go fishing.

I do a lose weight fishing diet. I don't eat anything. I usually have a cup of coffee in the morning, but Idon't drink too much or I will have to stop fishing to take a leak all the time. I do pack a gallon of water and some cliff bars for when I get back to the car though. By the time I'm done I'm usually light headed (a head ache from lack of caffeine, plus dehydrated) & have a bad attitude due to low blood sugar & not catching any fish. So I binge on what I have in the car.

    Don't follow this advice. I haven't lost any weight & I have heard that I'm an A-hole when I don't catch anything:)

    Cheetos crunchy jalapeno and beer.

I am on board with nick regarding the jalapeno cheddar dip. I finish off the can every can.

  13. i really like the chimichangas and the bbq sausage at the swede haven shell. I also tend to drink 3-5 energy drinks throughout the day.

im also a mcd's and Jbox breakfast whore, although i hate there day time food

  14. i easily burn through a can of grizzly in a days fishing. the only time i dont have a dip in is when im changing flies or tying on tippet

Favorite tailgate lunch whether fishing or chasing birds - smoked kokanee, crackers, cheese and apple slices with a favorite beverage. This lunch whether on the tailgate or in the boat seems to be a hit with my various fishing/hunting partners as well.

If I don't stop for a lunch then it is trail mix and fiber bars with lots of water.

Smoked Coho (or Chinook) and a micro brew or two! If the smoked salmon is unavailable, then I might just slap together a p-nut butter, raisin, and cheese sandwich on organic multi-grain bread. I have been known to buy Clif Bars and take them along.

Doritos's, small bag($1.49) and Soda pop on the way. I quit drinking Diet Coke. Messed up my stomach. When I'm done fishing it usually another small bag of the same and maybe a Ice Cream Bar (usually it's a Blue Bunny brand).

I used to pack my self a lunch but then I would forget about it. At my age I just concentrate on fishing. Eating is just an after thought.

PBJ's everytime. Requires no cooler, can be stuffed into a vest pocket and get smashed, but still edible.

    Ditto PBJ in the vest.
Will often hit McDs early for breakfast something and coffee.
On a camping type excursion I'll often pick up a Hawaiian pizza for the cooler. All the food groups in a 24/7 snack.
