Went fishing Saturday for the first time since mid February at a little un-named lake (sorry, I can’t say more). Lake had surprisingly few people on it for a Saturday. Perhaps 3 others were fishing besides me. Started off slow throwing black wooly buggers, then green. I would get some hits but the fish seemed very tentative. Started changing up flies fairly quickly and changing retrieve trying to find something that worked. Finally started down sizing and settled in on a size 12, olive Carry Special retrieved very slowly which produced about a half dozen rainbow ranging in size from the largest around 18 inches to 12 or 14 inches on the other end. All in all a great morning on the water and one I needed badly.
