Fishing opps. off Mercer Island?

Discussion in 'Fly Fishing Forum' started by Scott, Apr 16, 2002.

  1. Does anyone know if there is any viable fishing opportunities off of Mercer Island? I only have a couple of hours on Saturday morning to fish, and I have to stay close... Any ideas???

  2. If you are really desperate - some guys will flyfish for perch. Look for submerged weed beds 8-20 deep. Use small wooly-bugger type patterns - try olives, reds and yellows. You might also try throwing some larger streamers for bass around some structure if you have access to a boat.

I thing most of the trout, and there are some very large ones, in LW get caught by the trollers on spoons and such.
  3. i recently move to washington from the southern appalachians and have been fishing ever since i got here. ive yet to catch a fish in lake washington. if any one can help let me know.

also, im interested in any info i can get on small stream (appalachian style) fishing thats closer than yakima.
