Fished the beach of a major Seattle area public park this morning from 7:00 to 10:00. There was bait moving around and jumping all morning. Had several follows at my fly. Hooked one really nice silver before losing it via LDR after about 30 seconds (man, that always gets the ol' heart pounding). It was a perect morning for fly fishing - dead calm, overcast, lots of bait fish.

what kind of fly were you throwing? what weight rod?

I'm a noob, but since all the rivers are high, I'd figure I might give the sound a shot sometime soon

Fished 6 different flies - Mostly bait fish patterns. The hookup was on an orange reverse spider. Fished a 7 weight outfit.
