    Bass tube material, rubberlegs, flat nylon thread and CA glue ...plus a little rubberleg sewing with a wide-eyed rubberleg needle. You can add weight with a bead behind the eye, or put the weight on the leader. This may not be a fly. But it is a fish-catching son-of-a-gun.

    Another way to add weight is to wrap the shank with lead wire, soak it with CA glue and then flatten with smooth faced needle nose before the glue gets hard. Then sew the hook onto the bass tube body with rubberlegs, as shown above. Then cover the flattened lead and rubberleg loops with ZapAGap. That's a bit fussier than simply putting a bead behind the eye. But heavier. If you no what I mean
