I just got directv and hadn't had cable for about the last 4 years what I would like to know is what are some good fly fishing shows?? I don't watch a ton of TV but wouldn't mind watching some fly tying or fishing shows. Does anyone know of any good ones??

Although my cable provider does have the Outdoor Channel, I think the only fly-fish specific show I've seen is Fly-rod Chronicles which is an OK show. Seems like most of the other fishing shows all focus on bass fishing (there are a few exceptions). I can watch those for awhile but then get kinda "bassed out".

Oh I found a couple more like king of the river trout t.v. And have seen a bunch that look like they might be fly fishing but can't tell yet because it doesn't say under info!

One I like is Fishing with Ladin as it's local trout fishing provided you can take the schtick. Tonight's was a faux Russia river trip that was really Rocky Ford. There's always another Fly Tying - The anglers art.

Try" Orvis's Guide to Fly Fishing" and like what Tim said, Flyrod Chronicles.

Trout T.V is pretty awesome, but haven't been able to watch it either.

    +1 Seasons on the fly.

Favorite FF show is Wild on the Fly, but I don't know if it's show on TV any longer? http://wildonthefly.com/

I never liked Trout TV or understood its appeal, no loss IMO now that it's unavailable in the Seattle market.

I forgot about this method but it's very useful. It's how I hunt for new fishing shows for the year.

YouTube is where it's at for fishing. You can watch average dorks with GoPros on their home waters, and you can watch some schmuck sell you gear. And everything else in between.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one! It's pretty good. Be sure to go to his homepage and read about his trials with Lyme disease. Pretty scary!!
