for Those of you that live Close by or are not intimidated by the Washington State Ferry system, The Whidbey Island Fly Fishing Club is holding Fly Tying sessions Every Tuesday Evening for the next 7 weeks. These sessions are geared towards people with tying experience and those who have their own tools. Although we do have some beginners attending that we are paring up with more experienced tyers.
This past Tuesday we tied an adult Damsel pattern. The way it works is this:
One person will tye a pattern each night of the sessions. That person will supply each person with enough materials to tye 3 flyies of that same pattern.
sessions are $10.00 for all 8 for WIFFC members and for non-members the cost is $20.00 to cover materials.
Next Tuesday Gil Nyerges will be demonstrating his Scud pattern. Gil is an exelent instructor and fly tyer.

on Wednesday the 12th , Gil will also demonstrate how to presentation mounting of flies (turning your treasures into art pieces).
If you want any further info feel free to PM me.
Come on over to the Island, We enjoy the company...
    Randy

Sorry, Every Tuesday Night at 6:30- 9:00 Pm at the Race Road Fire Hall on Race Road in Coupeville. This is approx. mid-point of the Island. If You're coming from the South ; Turn right where the Keystone Ferry turnoff is (Race Road) . If your coming from the North; Turn Left at the same place. The Fire Hall is just up the hill from the highway.
