With a different twist. Next to chili my favorite winter meal.

    3-4 #’s country style ribs
2 large jars of sauerkraut rinsed and drained well
    2-3 large onions chopped
    2-3 tart green apples quartered
1 to 2 cans of tomato juice. NOTE don’t go with cheap T juice, my choice is Trader Joe’s (best) or V-8
Bottle of caraway seeds or 3-4 oz’s of bulk
Box of Stovetop pork or chicken stuffing

Rinse, salt and pepper ribs, brown well, set aside
    Sauté’ onions
Place ribs in large heavy pot
    Cover with onions
    Cover with sauerkraut
Add tomato juice, enough to cover all
    Add apples
    Add caraway seeds
    Cover and simmer 3-4 hours
About ½ hour before serving prepare stuffing(keep it a little dry), shape in balls, place on top of mixture
